Is there a way to reverse it?
I want my belt to stop when a specific item goes on it(so that inserter can grab it without failing)
I managed it with 2 combinators, can it be better?
also, the input is any positive number...

Could it be this that broke my splitter based sorting furnace? It has been running fine for a few hours at a time Before, but now broke instantly when update happend

actually, splitting into 6 belts isnt that bad after all when you consider upgrading later. Then you already have the infrastructure in Place if you mine more ore than a single belt can handle

Core count means nothing. It's limited by RAM latency which is limited by the speed of light and the distance between the CPU and RAM sticks on motherboards. You dont just have a normal belt but an underground belt, that means only 50% of the belt is visible to the inserter and thus 50% of the timelimit.
its the same if you had a belt 2x the speed of blue belt and try to grab from that...
