I have low space on my system drive, but plenty of free space on other drive.
Is it possible instead of PNG, it saves as JPG ?
Or how do we change the default saves location ? Can it be saves outside script-output directory?

You could try making your script-output directory a symlink to a separate location on the drive with more space.

I'm sorry for my late reply.
I'm currently trying a couple of things, I will report back to you as soon as possible.

Version 2.1.0 is now up and can be downloaded from github.
This version supports different file types via a config option; tested are .png, .jpg and .gif
Sadly you can't save screenshots outside of the script-output directory.

Thanks for the jpg support. :D
Also i implement previous suggestion by creating script-output symlink to my other drive, it's perfect !
Now i 'm not worrying about running low space, ever.

Fantastic to hear.
I experimented with symlinks aswell, but couldn't get it to work right.

Could you get this working with the mod that takes a screenshot of the entire map?

This mod doesn't simply create "screenshots" of the entire map, it creates Google Maps (a html file).
Therefore it won't work with this mod. Another reason for that is, that it might take a while to generate the Google Map.

Aw thats too bad. I was just thinking that it would make for a heck of a time-lapse if edited correctly 8-)

Haha, I've been very busy with school the last couple of weeks, so I haven't had time to update the mod.
Now everything is up to date once again and working with 0.12.20

I'm having some issues, going by the screenshots I've got in the folder the mod seems to have worked for the first few minutes but then just stopped. I definitely didn't turn it off or touch the settings, so maybe I'd paused the game and this halted the screenshot taking permanently rather than temporarily?

Thanks for this. Have to play around with the zoom levels a bit. Default of 1 seems to hardly show anything (I set to coordinates 0,0 figuring that was spawn). Out of time tonight but I'll play with it more tomorrow.

Zoom Levels (I'll leave these here to maybe save the next person some searching):

5: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4mn6ydetgp0pv ... 5.png?dl=0
2: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mh8o7u5539kt0 ... 2.png?dl=0
0.5: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zss7mr4c8eys3 ... 5.png?dl=0
0.1: https://www.dropbox.com/s/43eushv8fyo3w ... 1.png?dl=0

Also to find your coordinates if you're using the on location instead of on character:
/c game.player.print(game.player.character.position.x .. ' / ' .. game.player.character.position.y)

Spitballing here, anyone know if its possible to have this working on multiple saves? Possibly by naming the folder after the map seed or placing in a specific folder for a map seed? I've noticed that when you go to a new map the count seems to start over and will overwrite previous.

I didn't think about that while making the mod, I'll look into fixing that.
Thanks for telling me and posting the preview pictures of the zoom levels
