Comparison: Liquid Fuel vs. Enriched Fuel Block

Post by tynsaras »

For any future individual seeking an explanation

If I desire to produce power utilizing Liquid Fuel, which option is more efficient?

There are three ways to utilize liquid fuel in power generation. The first method is to directly burn the liquid fuel in Oil Burning Generators. The second method involves transforming the liquid fuel into Enriched Fuel Blocks, which are then burned in boilers to produce steam. This steam is then used to power a steam engine or turbine. The third method is to burn the liquid fuel in an Oil Burning Boiler, which also produces steam that can be used to power a steam engine or turbine.

I have created the three aforementioned configurations, connected them to accumulators, and obtained the following conclusions:

The Oil Burning Generators produce a total of 230 MJ of energy using 100 units of Liquid Fuel.
The Oil Burning Boilers provide a combined steam output of 230 MJ using 100 units of Liquid Fuel.
By converting 100 units of Liquid Fuel into 5 Enriched Fuel Blocks and then burning them in a boiler, steam is produced. This steam can be utilized by a Steam Engine or Turbine, resulting in the generation of 249 MJ of energy.

In conclusion, the process of converting liquid fuel into enriched fuel blocks is more efficient.
